In this edition tubas and trombones will receive special attention. Great musicians playing brass instruments can be heard on the Brass Route, starting with tubist Goran Krmac, via two tuba solo concerts by Carl Ludwig Hübsch and Oren Marshall respectively to trombonist Wolter Wierbos and the trombone duo Conrad Bauer/Johannes Bauer and at the end of the Brass Route a smashing finale with two tubas in the Spinifex Tuba Band.
The SummerJazzCycleTour 2010 also offers the opportunity to focus one’s hearing on some exceptional pianists: Boelo Klat (Klatwerk 3), Bojan Zulfikarpasic (with Eric Vloeimans), Oscar Jan Hoogland (EKE), Wolfert Brederode (with Claudio Puntin), Gideon van Gelder (with a carte blanche trio), Dimitar Bodurov (Bodurov Trio), Harmen Fraanje (Michael Moore Fragile Quartet), Irene Schweizer (Where’s Africa Trio) and Charles Gayle (with Han Bennink).
