His playing has been on an consistently high level with a very personal concept of the alto sax and he has more recently collaborated with Erik Kimestad, Rune Lohse, Kresten Osgood, Magnus Broo and many others. He has performed at the Monday Club several times before but this is the first chance we get to talk to him. be there. it will be very interesting

The grandmaster of english free improvisation on the double bass Barry Guy visits our humble club in a trio setting with Torben Snekkestad and Kresten Osgood. Snekkestad has worked with Barry Guy quite a lot but this is the first time meeting with Kresten Osgood!!

Born in London, Guy came to the fore as an improvising bassist as a member of a trio with pianist Howard Riley and drummer Tony Oxley (Witherden, 1969). He also became an occasional member of John Stevens' ensembles in the 1960s and 1970s, including the Spontaneous Music Ensemble. In the early 1970s, he was a member of the influential free improvisation group Iskra 1903 with Derek Bailey and trombonist Paul Rutherford (a project revived in the late 1970s, with violinist Philipp Wachsmann replacing Bailey). He also formed a long-standing partnership with saxophonist Evan Parker, which led to a trio with drummer Paul Lytton which became one of the best-known and most widely travelled free-improvising groups of the 1980s and 1990s. He is a professor at RMC and also an architect.

This is a duo that has been wanting to get together for years..Tarwid is a very interesting and serious musician (whatever that means) and finally the hookup is reality between this wonderful artist and our own Kresten Osgood (who we take for granted because he plays at the club very often..but one day that will be over and then the people who were there will have to tell the rest what happened).

Very exiting new trio from Jesper Løvdal. Per Møllehøj is one of the most underrated players in town. A monster guitarist who has been working seriously for over 20 years. Frands Rifbjerg is everybodys favorite drummer - a highly sensitive sound architect on the drums. We know him from many bands including Kasper Tranbergs Terzet. first class quartet with the great Lars Göran Ulander on alto sax. mr Ulander is a highly original improvisor who has been a beacon in Swedish jazz since the late 50´s. Jeppe Zeeberg is the most interesting pianist of his generation, Nils Davidsen is still reaching for the stars with his incredible control of the double bass and has recently also turned to the cello for further explorations and with Kresten Osgood behind the drums thsi should be a very nice quartet.
