Music has come a long way since the late 50’s and early 60s but Lillie Bryant has kept up with the pace, times and trends. Performing for over 50 years, she has as much fire and energy today as ever. Ms. Bryant has the fine wine quality, better with age. Lillie Bryant was top of the Billboard charts in 1958, making appearances as a duo with Billie Ford on the American Bandstand with the late great Dick Clark. Ms. Bryant continued to perform and share the stage with Jackie Wilson, and Sam Cooke. She toured with the Allan Freed Rock & Roll Show with Chuck Berry, Big Bopper, Chantels and Frankie Lymon. Today she is working to make an album which could catapult her comeback. Lillie Bryant has blossomed as a great example of an artist that erases the borders of the ages. Yes, some things have changed, but greatness will always be great.
Gabrielle Tranchina easily moves between jazz, world fusion, Latin and pop. She is a German-born, Parisian chanteuse, with Brazilian stylings. She can explore her fondness for languages by singing in Brazilian Portuguese, German, English, Spanish, French and Hindi. Her performance this night will be a musical melting pot of jazz greats.
