Jewish singer/songwriter, Latin Grammy nominee, and award-winning recording artist Jorge Drexler has held the top spot on Latin pop charts for years. In 2004, he was catapulted to superstar status after becoming the first Uruguayan to win an Oscar for his song “Al Otro Lado del Rio” from the acclaimed movie The Motorcycle Diaries.

Be there as Drexler takes the stage at the Skirball in the U.S. debut of his brilliant new quintet. Imaginatively blending traditional Uruguayan music with bossa nova, pop, jazz, and electronica, Drexler’s original songs are deeply personal reflections upon love, identity, race, and religion....
