Yes! Its the Monday Band at 7pm each monday until the end of time. The Monday Band was formed to focus on playing improvised music in a large ensemble and draws its members from the large vibrant group of improvisers in town and passing through. The idea is to have a international band with a open constellation which connects the improvising scene in Copenhagen and performs every week. The band will play minimal compositions, improvising concepts and graphic scores composed and arranged by the members of the band. the band will have a flexible lineup each week but with a core group of artists consistently there. Copenhagen has long needed a place where a steady workshop band could experiment with improvising in a large ensemble and the MondayClub is the place to do it so welcome to THE MONDAY BAND...

Stök is an ensemble playing free improvised music. Tove Bagge and Mika Persdotter on viola and Julija Morgan on violin, explores the possibilities of sound and communication messy and slow. The Swedish group has known each other for many years through the music scene of both classical music, folk music and impro.

Mika Persdotter is a violist and performer within many different genres. She is originally from Gothenburg, Sweden, but currently lives in Copenhagen where she works freelance mainly with early music, contemporary music and free improvisation. She is a member of the string quartet Halvcirkel and the music collective Damkapellet.

Julija Morgan is studying classical violin for Detlef Hahn at the Norwegian Academy of Music. She has also studied Baroque violin for Bjarte Eike and Bernhard Forck. In addition to her violin studies, she has attended Idun Lovén Art School in Stockholm. Julija is a member of the music collective Damkapellet and improvisational groups as Tvinna and Jord. As a freelancer, she plays in the Baroque orchestra Barokkanerne among others.

Tove Bagge is a violist and performer. She works within and draws inspiration from different genres and expressions, such as folk music, early music, sound art and free improvisation. Tove is a member of the collective Damkapellet and the ensemble Frøken. She was educated at The Norwegian Academy of Music.

Jesper Løvdal is improvising with this year's two Artist in Residence artists.
Byunggil Choi and Eunhee Choi are traditional Korean musicians playing on 2 traditional Korean instruments. The changoo is a double drum reminiscent of the Cuban Bata and gayageum, a reclining guitar-like instrument. Both musicians have worked on connecting traditional Korean music and Western classical music and jazz.

The duo Kyaness consists of pianist Zoe Efstathiou and cellist Oda Dyrnes. They focus their compositions on acoustic, textural improvisations, intertwining the cello and the piano, in an expression that is tactile, lyrical and attentive. Driven by a fascination for the quality of sound itself, they use preparations and extended techniques, always exploring and challenging the possibilities of their instruments.
