Virtuoso pianist Hiromi Uehara is, as All Music Guide writes, “one of the most remarkable pianists of the past half century.” Having been mentored by legends Chick Corea and Ahmad Jamal, Hiromi signed her first record deal before graduating from Berklee College of Music and has since released a dozen albums with various acclaimed projects. Explosive and energetic and her playing, Hiromi takes solo piano performances to new heights. The Guardian describes her performances as “breathtaking displays of flat-out swing, funky grooving and classical references, often all in the same piece.”
