La Brigida Orquesta is a Chilean jazz rap band that released their first EP in November 2017,
becoming a new sensation of the urban jazz scene in Chile in short time.

The band was founded by pianist and composer Gabo Paillao and the rapper Matiah Chinaski – two historic
members of the rap fusion scene that have had a great influence in the popularity of the band.

So far they have had surprising full houses in important venues as Club
Chocolate (Santiago), Municipal Theater of Valparaíso (Valparaíso) and Balmaceda Arte
Joven (Concepción). Besides that they were selected as one of the most interesting
bands at the showcases in IMESUR and PULSAR 2018, opening the interest of international festivals and
agencies.

The release of the first LP lead to a nomination at this years Indigo Awards 2018 (Chile). La Brígida Orquesta is the new trend of
the chilean music scene. The release of the album “Corte Elegante” at the Teatro Oriente
was attended by more than 1,000 people on December 7, 2018.

På kort tid er La Brígida Orquesta blevet et af de største bands i hjemlandet siden de slap deres første EP i 2017. Bandet ledes af pianisten og komponisten Gabo Paillao (Ana tijoux, Portavoz) og rapperen Matiah Chinaski (Mente Sabia Crú), som er to legender på den chilenske rap-fusionsscene. Med sig har de en kraftfuld blæsersektion på syv mand bestående af saxofon, trombone og trompet.

Bandet har spillet udsolgte shows på alle de største spillesteder i Chile og har fået international opmærksomhed efter at have spillet anmelderroste koncerter på de mest anerkendte latinamerikanske branchefestivaler. I 2018 blev de nomineret til Indigo Awards i hjemlandet og deres succes kulminerede ved releasekoncerten for deres debutalbum "Corte Elegante" i december 2018, da de spillede for mere end 1000 mennesker i Teatro Oriente i Santiago.

Soca Disco’s univers strækker sig så langt som fra Lagos’ støvede veje til Caribiens bountystrande til Rio de Jainero’s sambaoptog til New York’s svedige discoklubber. Gennem disco, boogie, jazz afrobeat og latin skaber Soca Disco en rød tråd mellem verdensdelenes musiske særtræk og varmer dansegulvet op fra starten.
