His group features the ingenious, award-winning composer and vocalist Gizem Gokoglu (Turkey & Northern Cyprus) at the forefront, who regularly impresses audiences with her seemingly impossible vocal lines and dreamy timbre. World-class accordionist Dallas Vietty (California) excites with his boundless creativity and infectious joy. Highly respected among his peers, he has become a regular on the jazz circuit. Extraordinary bassist Martin Pizzarelli from New Jersey’s legendary Pizzarelli family completes the Quartet. Martin played hundreds of concerts with his brother John, worked with pianist Monty Alexander, as well as with various ensembles of his father Bucky Pizzarelli. He is considered to be one of the most skilled and swingin’ bassists on the scene, a “keeper of the flame” who masters the style like no other nowadays.
With compelling passion, the ensemble presents a diverse program of beloved American and European jazz standards, clever original compositions and swingin’ improvisations.
