Extraordinary bassist Martin Pizzarelli from New Jersey’s legendary Pizzarelli family completes the trio. Martin played hundreds of concerts with his brother John, worked with pianist Monty Alexander, as well as with various ensembles of his father Bucky Pizzarelli. He is considered to be one of the most skilled and swingin’ bassists on the scene, a “keeper of the flame” who masters the style like no other nowadays.
Special guest vocalist Cydney Halpin (originally from Southern California) has played in many legendary cabaret rooms coast to coast. Known for her spellbinding song delivery and unique timbre, she manifested her love for The Great American Songbook on Swingin’ Sentimental, recorded in 2017 and featuring Bucky Pizzarelli, as well as Martin and Linus.
With compelling passion, the ensemble presents a diverse program of beloved American jazz standards, clever original compositions and swingin’ improvisations.
