The Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble has been improvising and innovating on stages around Philadelphia since 1979. To say they are part of the musical fabric of this city is perhaps an understatement.
They remain relevant and original by being unpredictable, creative and fearless. Their latest series which fuses a variety of musical styles with Jazz and sub-genres of Jazz, tells a unique story as only Arpeggio can.
The iconic American singer-songwriter Bill Withers is the focus of this performance with Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble. Withers performed and recorded from 1970 until 1985. He recorded several major hits, including "Lean on Me", "Ain't No Sunshine", "Use Me", "Just the Two of Us", "Lovely Day", and "Grandma's Hands". Withers won three Grammy Awards and was nominated for four more. His life was the subject of the 2009 documentary film Still Bill. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2015....
