The Emma Gilmartin Quartet at Bird's Basement Jazz Club

Emma Gilmartin has gained a reputation as one of Australia's most talented jazz vocalists. Her voice is undeniably beautiful with "a crystalline purity of vibrato-less tone and flawless pitch" - Leon Gettler, The Age Green Guide.

The Emma Gilmartin Quartet first performed together in March 2013 and have been happily making music ever since.

For this show, the quartet will combine new arrangements of their favourite standards with songs from Emma's 2016 CD release "Live at Bennetts Lane". A collection of lesser-known standards and one of Emma's original compositions, the album was recorded in 2015 by Niko Schauble of Pughouse Studios and launched during the 2016 Melbourne Women's International Jazz Festival....
