Dayramir was already a star when he moved to the States 10 years ago with 3 Cubadisco awards for his album Habana enTRANCÉ He has a mentor and champion in Chucho Valdes who included Dayramir in a 2012 Carnegie Hall series alongside Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Danilo Perez and Chucho himself. A summa cum laude graduate at Berklee School of Music, González is co-founder and music director of The Art School of Contemporary Performance & Creativity in the South Bronx.
He provocatively describes his recent album The Grand Concourse as “a tribute to Buena Vista Social Club, Mozart, and John Coltrane mixed with Dayramir’s spices.” The album gets boffo attention in Larry Blumenfeld’s WSJ review calling Mr. Gonzalez “a stunningly gifted composer and arranger” who displays “assured and sometimes daring pianism” with “a sensitive yet bold touch.”

Bassist Dean Torrey played here last year with Dayramir. He has worked with Muhal Richard Abrams, Thurman Barker, Rodney Green, Francisco Mela, Ed Cherry, Tivon Pennicott, Micah Thomas, Immanuel Wilkins and the Onyx Collective.
Juan Chiavassa grew up in Argentina. Since graduating from Berklee School of Music, he has worked with John Patitucci, Terence Blanchard, George Garzone, David Kikoski, Paquito D'Rivera, Leo Genovese, Kenny Werner, Victor Wooten, Oscar Stagnaro, Bob Moses, Pablo Ziegler, Ruben Rada, Hugo Fattoruso, Ricardo Nole, Gonzalo Aloras, Javier Mallosetti and Lito Nebbia, among others.
Cuban percussionist Keisel Jiménez moved to New York in 2015 with a distinguished resumé. Most recently he has performed with Adonis Fuentes, directed by Oscar Hernández (Spanish Harlem Orchestra).
