About

Nominated for a 2018 Best Latin Jazz Album Grammy, Miguel Zenón masterfully balances and blends innovation and tradition. A Guggenheim and MacArthur fellow, he is widely regarded as one of the most groundbreaking and influential saxophonists of his generation, as well as a unique composer and conceptualist.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Zenón strives to perfect a fine mix of Latin American folkloric music and jazz. He has performed with a number of jazz luminaries and will be joined in this quartet by Venezuelan pianist Luis Perdomo, Austrian bassist Hans Glawischnig, and fellow Puerto Rican drummer Henry Cole.
