Norman Connors (born March 1, 1947) is a Grammy Award Winning Legendary Americanjazz drummer, composer, arranger, and producer who have led some influential jazz and R&Bgroups. He has also achieved great known big R&B hits of the day, especially with love ballads.Norman Connors is possibly best known for the 1976 hit, "You Are My Starship" on which leadvocals were sung by Michael Henderson.


Norman Connors lived in the same Philadelphia neighborhood as comedian Bill Cosby (just 4doors away) and had an interest in jazz from a very early age to play drums.
