About

The Pan American Symphony Orchestra brings you an evening of diverse music from the Americas. From a Mexican work for cello and orchestra, Lluvia en la Arena, with its haunting melody and tango ending (by Arturo Marquez) to Duke Ellington’s symphonic jazz movement, Martin, dedicated to Martin Luther King, Jr., Billy Strayhorn’s Isfahan and works by Astor Piazzolla. Joining PASO is DC’s own Chaise Lounge, performing tunes from Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, and Cuban composer, Ernesto Lecuona. Chaise Lounge will also be playing some of its own compositions.
