Symphony No. 85 ‘La Reine’
Gwilym Simcock has carved out a career as one of the most gifted pianists and imaginative composers on the European scene. He moves effortlessly between jazz and classical music, with a harmonic sophistication and subtle dovetailing of musical traditions. NCO are delighted to be forging a relationship with such a megastar and in this concert will be joined by young string players from Chetham’s School of Music, the centre for excellence that has produced so many of today’s musicians including Gwilym himself.
