One of the fastest rising jazz singers in Northern California, Tiffany Austin brings tradition-rooted yet thoroughly modern style to her singing and songwriting. Prior to the release of her debut CD "Nothing But Soul," she sang on three continents—around her native Los Angeles while attending college, then for a year in London, and eventually for five and a half years in Tokyo—before setting music aside upon being accepted at the University of California's Boalt School of Law in Berkeley. Yet her passion for music never went away, and a year into her law studies, she enrolled on a full scholarship at the California Jazz Conservatory.

Although she did earn a juris doctorate in 2012, while her peers were taking the bar exam Tiffany decided instead to devote her life to her first love--music. Her refreshingly original singing style has attracted the attention of international artists such as vibraphonist Roy Ayers and alto saxophonist John Handy, and innovative San Francisco Bay Area bandleaders like bassist Marcus Shelby and tenor saxophonist Howard Wiley.

Tiffany will be joined by veteran New York players for a night of swing and soul: Drummer, Bandleader, and former Berkelee Faculty Member Tommy Campbell who held tenure with Dizzy Gillespie through the 70's, 80's and 90s; Bassist Alex Blake, who has played with artists such as Clarke Terry, McCoy Tyner, Freddie Hubbard; and Pianist Ray Gallon, has worked with many vocal greats including Chaka Khan, Jon Hendricks, Sheila Jordan, Nnenna Freelon, and Dakota Staton.
