Currently we are promoting and licensing projects by vocalist-composer, Chris McNulty and guitarist-composer, Paul Bollenback.
Dance Delicioso, McNulty’s 5th CD as a leader, showcases her risk-taking, fluid, and strongly emotional approach. The CD features five McNulty originals including her alluring title track Dance Delicioso which crosses over between storytelling, world music sensibility and top-notch jazz improvisation. Her poignant portrayals of her original “Last Farewell” and the Irish folk ballad “He Moves Through The Fair” are delicately woven among jump-for-joy versions of the classic standards “All of You” and “Star Eyes”. The truly trance-like “Meaning of the Blues” serves as the thread to round out this remarkable listening experience. Dance Delicioso, features jazz luminaries Mulgrew Miller on piano, Gary Bartz and Gary Thomas on saxophones, the legendary Billy Hart on drums, Paul Bollenback on guitars, and Ugonna Okegwo on bass. It's really a sonic treat with several guests adding some unique color to the mix. For more info, come inside and check it out!
Paul Bollenback's long awaited 6th release features three diverse sides of this amazing musician — five original compositions, two pieces adapted from classical works by Puccini and Garcia De Leon, a couple of Ray Charles tunes featuring David Fathead Newman, along with a Stevie Wonder tune — all encompassing the inimitable Bollenback stamp of masterful re-harmonizations, visionary improvisational ideas, and explosive groove. The album also features: Gary Thomas on tenor sax, Tim Garland on saxophones and bass clarinet, James Genus on bass, Terri Lynn Carrington and Ari Honig on drums, and Chris McNulty on vocals.
We will soon have details of Chris McNulty's 6th release and 3rd on Elefant Dreams. Whispers the Heart releasing September 12th, features several new McNulty originals along with outstanding renditions of tunes such as Come Rain or Shine, I Should Care, Bernstein's stunning Lonely Town, Bacharach's Make It Easy On Your Self and the Thad Jones composition (lyric-Abbey Lincoln), When Love Was You And Me. The Cd features guest appearances by the great Frank Wess, Ingrid Jensen, Paul Bollenback, Ed Howard, Dave Pietro, Tineke Postma, Matt Wilson, Montez Coleman and Rogerio Boccato.
Our limited line of educational books for jazz guitarists, singers, plus an all-purpose ear training book wil also be available as downloads shortly.
