Steeped in traditional jazz with essence of funk, soul and world music, Dawn's music is truly beyond the box. As a flutist, vocalist, composer and arranger, Dr. Dawn has worked with a variety of artists including Kamasi Washington, Vijay Iyer and Andy Milne. In August 2015, "Dr. Dawn" was chosen to participate in the Jazz Composers Orchestra Institute at UCLA's Herb Alpert School and last summer was selected for the prestigious Canadian artists' program, the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music.
