ROOM 623 presents DAY 2 of the first public performances by 2 Creative Jazz Workshop Ensembles, showcasing the talents of some of the best and most dedicated student and aspiring professional Jazz players in New York City. These two groups have been working and studying together for months and years under the direction of Grammy winning saxophonist/educator Peter Brainin and will perform music by Duke Ellington, Wayne Shorter, Kurt Weill, Thelonious Monk, A.C. Jobim, Hank Mobley, Lee Morgan, Horace Silver, Duke Pearson, Clifford Brown and others.
