<p>Charlyce Simmons is a native of the Orlando FL. Metropolitan area. At the age of 3\, her parents recognized an undeniable gift of music. Charlyce was not only able to sing exactly what she heard but was also able to harmonize with seasoned singers. Her years of music started in elementary and continued on throughout Middle School with Destiny\, a group she founded.</p><p>She has been blessed to share the stage with performers like Patti Labelle\, Kim Burrell\, CeCe Teneal\, Jabari Clay\, Natural Wonder (Stevie wonder tribute band) and has been featured on countless recordings with other recording artists such as Khristian Dentley\, Marcus Cole\, Keith Staten\, Larue Howard\, William McDowell\, Puchi Colon As a teenager she was diagnosed with kidney failure and was placed on dialysis\, however\, she was able to graduate from high school on time and receive a kidney transplant one year later...

After months of healing\, Charlyce learned she needed a total hip replacement of which she received in 2001. She found love in 2002 and married Alonzo Simmons in March 2003. In January 2009 Charlyce suffered a devastating brain hemorrhage which left her unable to move the left side of her body\, after almost a year of therapy she is grateful to be fully recovered.</p><p>She released her first single titled "I Got U" July 2006\, and released a Christmas CD “Christmas with Charlyce" December 2007. Charlyce then went on to complete her first Live Recording in 2011 “All of me”\, and also wrote an autobiography in 2015 titled\, “All of me\, “My journey to yes.” On January 22\, 2017\, Charlyce released her latest EP " The Essence of Charlyce "</p><p>Charlyce now spends her time assisting other local and national artists with live concerts and recordings\, background vocals and studio work. She performs at all types of events both signing and speaking. She also volunteers with Translife Organ and tissue / Transplant awareness services.
