Charles Hamilton started out playing trumpet & gigging in New Orleans & Baton Rouge. Switching to trombone, moved to the Bay Area to study music at SF State. He's played with top figures thru the years. He directed the jazz program at Berkeley High for 28 years. He developed the talents of many of today's knows gifted young players.
